Tankwagen couplings
TW Couplings - Tankwagen
Tankwagen couplings are an industrial connection standard used in liquid transport and transfer systems. Their design is based on the EN 14420-6 standard (formerly DIN 28450), which defines the dimensions, locking mechanism and sealing requirements. A typical TW coupling consists of two parts – the female coupling (VK) and the male adaptor (MK), which together create a safe and tight connection for hoses or fittings in tanker, industrial and logistics installations.
TW couplings are widely used for handling fuels, oils, chemicals, water, as well as in the food and agricultural industries. The bayonet mechanism and locking ring enable quick and repeatable connection and disconnection of hoses without the need for tools.
Tanker Couplings – Construction and Materials
Tanker couplings are used in the transport and storage of fuels, chemicals, food-grade liquids and technical water. They allow for quick disconnection of installations during filling or emptying of tanks, reducing the risk of medium leakage. Our offer includes tanker couplings made from materials resistant to corrosion and intensive use. The most common options include aluminium, brass and stainless steel TW couplings, allowing you to choose the right product depending on the medium and application conditions.
Standard sizes include nominal diameters DN50 (2”), DN75 (3”) and DN100 (4”), with every version maintaining dimensional compatibility with all other elements of the Tankwagen system.
The construction of TW couplings features precisely machined sealing surfaces and replaceable technical elastomer rings, ensuring high sealing performance and chemical resistance. This allows the coupling to be adapted to the specific working medium – from petroleum-based products to water and chemical media. Our products provide reliable sealing even under significant temperature and pressure variations.
Choose TW couplings – professional, durable and safe solutions for liquid transfer systems.
