Claws couplings
Claw Coupling
A claw coupling is a popular type of quick coupling used in pneumatic, water and industrial installations. The connection mechanism is based on two symmetrical lugs (“claws”) which lock together after being inserted and rotated, creating a tight connection between hoses or pipes without the need for tools.
Claw couplings are most commonly made of galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel, which allows them to be used in a wide range of conditions — from workshops and industrial halls to outdoor installations exposed to moisture and weather factors. The NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) seal ensures high-quality sealing within typical operating pressures and resistance to oils and technical greases.
Claw coupling 1/2", 3/4", 1" – ideal for common hose diameters
Our offer includes claw couplings in a full range of sizes, allowing you to match the component to a specific piping system or flexible hose. The 1/2" claw coupling is a compact solution mainly used in light pneumatic systems and workshop connections where low weight and hose mobility are important. The 3/4" claw coupling is suitable for medium-flow systems such as compressed-air installations or cooling-water systems, providing quick and tight connection while maintaining high mechanical durability.
The most commonly used size in industry — the 1" claw coupling — allows operation with higher flow rates and working pressures typical for technical and construction installations. This size is most often used for working hoses, discharge lines and auxiliary media distribution systems.
Claw coupling 1 1/4" and 2" – increased flow capacity and durability
In high-flow installations, larger nominal diameters are required. The 1 1/4" and 2" claw couplings are designed for hoses and pipes with a larger cross-section, operating at increased flow rates and working pressures. Their symmetrical locking system ensures secure engagement even under dynamic loads. The steel construction and galvanized protective coating prevent corrosion and mechanical wear.
Why choose claw couplings?
The symmetrical locking mechanism minimizes the risk of accidental disconnection, and the elastic seal ensures tightness even with slight axial misalignment of hoses. Another advantage is quick disconnection, which is especially valued in service, temporary and mobile installations. Unlike threaded connections, claw couplings do not require Teflon tape or sealing pastes. Maintenance and seal replacement are simple, and the entire connection process is limited to inserting and twisting the elements until they lock in place.
